New management team at cerbomed

Erlangen, June 1st, 2010. cerbomed gmbh, a start up enterprise in the area of the neurostimulation, today announced changes in its management. Dr. Andreas Hartlep, managing director at cerbomed since April 2010, completed the formation of his new management team. With this new top management, cerbomed gmbh is ideally prepared to tackle the future challenges.

Dr. Andreas Hartlep, who has sole responsibility for company direction and leading the management team, will head up the company with experienced colleagues. Christoph Beck continues his responsibility for research and development, and Dr. Robert Pfeffer remains responsible for finance and administration. The team is now strengthened by Dr. Martin Hyca, who looks after marketing.

The new management team:
Dr. Andreas Hartlep, 43 years old, graduated in physics and medical physics and, got his Ph.D. (Dr.rer. nat.) at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg. He has 10-year experiences in different management positions in research and development, as well as clinical operations in the area of medical engineering. In May 2009 he became Chief Technology Officer at cerbomed, and has been the sole managing director of the company since April 2010.

Christoph Beck, 29 years old, has a degree in general electrical engineering and is currently completing a doctorate in asynchronous chip engineering, in parallel. For the last 5 years, he has focused on the medical engineering industry and managed several projects in hardware and software development. In 2007, Christoph joined cerbomed as development manager, and now holds the position of Director of Development in the management team.

Dr. Martin Hyca, 36 years old, is a medical doctor and has a Master of Science in Medical Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration. For over 6 years, he has worked in interdisciplinary fields in the medical engineering industry, including positions as a leading marketing- and product manager. Martin took on the position as a Director of Marketing in February 2010.

Dr. Robert Pfeffer, is 33 years old, and has completed two degrees in business studies and economics, getting his doctorate in financial markets. He has 10 years professional experience in banking, where he specialized in start-up und corporate finance. Robert started at cerbomed in October 2008 as head of the finance department, which he represents as Director of Finance in the management team.
